The goal of a Backgammon match is to shift your checkers around the game board and bear them from the game board quicker than your challenger who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a round in Backgammon requires both strategy and fortune. How far you can move your pieces is left to the numbers from rolling the dice, and how you move your chips are determined by your overall playing tactics. Players use different strategies in the different stages of a game dependent on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Tactic
The aim of the Running Game tactic is to bring all your checkers into your inner board and pull them off as quick as you could. This technique focuses on the speed of shifting your pieces with absolutely no time spent to hit or block your competitor’s chips. The ideal scenario to employ this plan is when you think you might be able to move your own pieces a lot faster than the opposition does: when 1) you have less pieces on the board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your competitor’s chips; or 3) your opposing player doesn’t use the hitting or blocking technique.
The Blocking Game Plan
The primary goal of the blocking tactic, by the name, is to block your competitor’s checkers, temporarily, while not worrying about shifting your checkers quickly. As soon as you have created the blockage for the competitor’s movement with a few chips, you can move your other chips rapidly from the game board. You really should also have a good strategy when to withdraw and move the chips that you employed for the blockade. The game gets interesting when your opponent utilizes the same blocking strategy.
