The Running Game Strategy
The aim of the Running Game plan is to bring all your pieces into your inner board and pull them off as quick as you can. This strategy focuses on the pace of shifting your checkers with no efforts to hit or stop your competitor’s pieces. The best scenario to employ this technique is when you think you can move your own pieces quicker than the opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your competitor’s chips; or 3) the opponent does not use the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Plan
The primary aim of the blocking technique, by its title, is to stop your competitor’s pieces, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your checkers quickly. As soon as you’ve created the barrier for the opponent’s movement with a couple of chips, you can shift your other chips rapidly from the board. You really should also have a clear plan when to back off and move the pieces that you used for the blockade. The game gets intriguing when the competitor uses the same blocking technique.
