The Running Game Technique
The aim of the Running Game plan is to bring all your chips into your inner board and pull them off as fast as you can. This plan focuses on the speed of advancing your chips with absolutely no time spent to hit or block your competitor’s pieces. The ideal time to employ this plan is when you think you can move your own chips faster than the opposing player does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the game board; 2) all your chips have past your competitor’s checkers; or 3) your opponent does not employ the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Plan
The main goal of the blocking tactic, by its title, is to block the competitor’s pieces, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces quickly. Once you’ve created the barrier for your opponent’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can shift your other pieces rapidly from the board. You really should also have an apparent strategy when to extract and shift the pieces that you utilized for blocking. The game gets intriguing when the competitor uses the same blocking strategy.
