The aim of a Backgammon game is to move your checkers around the game board and get them from the game board quicker than your challenger who works harder to do the same buthowever they move in the opposite direction. Succeeding in a game of Backgammon requires both strategy and fortune. Just how far you will be able to shift your pieces is up to the numbers from rolling a pair of dice, and just how you shift your pieces are decided on by your overall playing strategies. Players use differing tactics in the different parts of a game dependent on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Strategy
The aim of the Running Game plan is to lure all your pieces into your home board and pull them off as fast as you can. This plan concentrates on the pace of shifting your checkers with little or no time spent to hit or barricade your opponent’s pieces. The ideal time to use this plan is when you believe you can move your own pieces a lot faster than your opposition does: when 1) you have a fewer pieces on the game board; 2) all your checkers have moved beyond your opponent’s chips; or 3) the opposing player does not use the hitting or blocking tactic.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The main aim of the blocking plan, by the name, is to block the opponent’s chips, temporarily, while not fretting about moving your checkers rapidly. Once you’ve established the blockage for your opponent’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can shift your other chips rapidly from the game board. The player should also have a clear strategy when to extract and move the chips that you used for blocking. The game becomes intriguing when the competitor utilizes the same blocking technique.
