The goal of a Backgammon match is to shift your checkers around the Backgammon board and bear those pieces from the board faster than your opponent who works just as hard to do the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a match in Backgammon requires both strategy and fortune. How far you will be able to move your chips is left to the numbers from tossing the dice, and how you shift your checkers are determined by your overall gambling techniques. Players use a few tactics in the different parts of a match based on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Tactic
The goal of the Running Game plan is to bring all your pieces into your home board and bear them off as quick as you can. This plan concentrates on the pace of shifting your checkers with no time spent to hit or block your competitor’s chips. The ideal time to use this technique is when you think you can shift your own chips faster than the opposition does: when 1) you have less chips on the board; 2) all your pieces have past your opponent’s checkers; or 3) your opponent does not use the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Strategy
The main aim of the blocking tactic, by the name, is to stop the opponent’s chips, temporarily, while not worrying about moving your pieces quickly. Once you’ve established the blockade for the competitor’s movement with a couple of pieces, you can shift your other pieces quickly off the game board. You should also have an apparent plan when to extract and move the pieces that you employed for the blockade. The game becomes interesting when the opposition utilizes the same blocking tactic.
