The Running Game Strategy
The goal of the Running Game strategy is to entice all your checkers into your inner board and pull them off as quick as you could. This plan concentrates on the pace of advancing your chips with absolutely no efforts to hit or stop your competitor’s chips. The best scenario to employ this technique is when you think you might be able to move your own checkers quicker than your opposition does: when 1) you have a fewer checkers on the game board; 2) all your chips have past your competitor’s pieces; or 3) the opposing player doesn’t employ the hitting or blocking plan.
The Blocking Game Tactic
The main aim of the blocking technique, by its name, is to block the opponent’s chips, temporarily, while not worrying about shifting your chips rapidly. After you’ve established the barrier for your opponent’s movement with a few checkers, you can shift your other checkers swiftly off the board. The player should also have a good strategy when to back off and move the chips that you utilized for blocking. The game becomes intriguing when the opposition uses the same blocking tactic.
