The best scenario to use this plan is when you think you might be able to shift your own chips a lot faster than your opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer chips on the board; 2) all your pieces have past your competitor’s checkers; or 3) the opposing player does not employ the hitting or blocking strategy.
The Blocking Game Plan
The main goal of the blocking technique, by its name, is to stop your opponent’s checkers, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces rapidly. After you’ve established the barrier for the competitor’s movement with a couple of checkers, you can shift your other pieces rapidly from the game board. You really should also have a clear strategy when to withdraw and shift the pieces that you employed for blocking. The game becomes intriguing when your competitor utilizes the same blocking tactic.
