The Running Game Plan
The goal of the Running Game plan is to bring all your chips into your inside board and get them off as quick as you could. This plan concentrates on the speed of advancing your pieces with little or no time spent to hit or block your competitor’s checkers. The ideal scenario to use this technique is when you believe you might be able to move your own pieces quicker than your opponent does: when 1) you have a fewer checkers on the game board; 2) all your chips have moved beyond your opponent’s checkers; or 3) your opponent doesn’t use the hitting or blocking technique.
The Blocking Game Strategy
The primary aim of the blocking technique, by the name, is to block the competitor’s chips, temporarily, not worrying about moving your pieces quickly. As soon as you have created the blockade for your competitor’s movement with a few pieces, you can move your other pieces quickly from the game board. The player really should also have a good plan when to withdraw and shift the checkers that you used for the blockade. The game gets intriguing when the opposition uses the same blocking technique.
