As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a game of talent and good luck. The goal is to move your chips carefully around the board to your inside board and at the same time your opposition shifts their chips toward their home board in the opposite direction. With competing player pieces heading in opposite directions there is going to be conflict and the requirement for particular strategies at specific instances. Here are the 2 final Backgammon plans to complete your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the goal of the blocking tactic is to hamper the opponents ability to move his pieces, the Priming Game tactic is to completely block any activity of the opponent by constructing a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent’s checkers will either get bumped, or result a battered position if he/she at all attempts to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be established anywhere between point two and point eleven in your board. As soon as you’ve successfully built the prime to block the activity of the competitor, the competitor does not even get a chance to toss the dice, that means you shift your checkers and roll the dice yet again. You’ll win the game for sure.

The Back Game Strategy

The aims of the Back Game technique and the Blocking Game plan are similar – to hinder your opponent’s positions with hope to better your odds of succeeding, but the Back Game strategy uses different techniques to achieve that. The Back Game plan is generally employed when you are far behind your competitor. To compete in Backgammon with this tactic, you need to hold two or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This strategy is more difficult than others to employ in Backgammon because it requires careful movement of your checkers and how the chips are relocated is partially the result of the dice roll.
