The aim of a Backgammon match is to shift your pieces around the game board and bear them from the game board quicker than your challenger who works harder to attempt the same buthowever they move in the opposing direction. Succeeding in a match of Backgammon requires both tactics and luck. How far you will be able to move your checkers is up to the numbers from rolling the dice, and the way you move your checkers are determined by your overall gambling plans. Enthusiasts use a few tactics in the different parts of a match dependent on your positions and opponent’s.
The Running Game Strategy
The goal of the Running Game plan is to bring all your pieces into your inner board and get them off as quick as you can. This technique focuses on the pace of advancing your pieces with little or no efforts to hit or block your competitor’s chips. The ideal scenario to use this technique is when you believe you might be able to shift your own pieces faster than your opposition does: when 1) you have a fewer checkers on the board; 2) all your checkers have moved beyond your competitor’s chips; or 3) the opponent does not use the hitting or blocking tactic.
The Blocking Game Plan
The primary aim of the blocking tactic, by the title, is to stop your competitor’s checkers, temporarily, not worrying about moving your checkers rapidly. As soon as you’ve created the blockade for your competitor’s movement with a few pieces, you can move your other pieces quickly off the board. The player should also have a clear strategy when to extract and shift the chips that you employed for blocking. The game becomes interesting when your opponent utilizes the same blocking strategy.
