As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of skill and good luck. The goal is to move your checkers safely around the board to your inner board while at the same time your opposing player moves their pieces toward their inside board in the opposite direction. With opposing player pieces heading in opposing directions there is going to be conflict and the requirement for specific strategies at specific times. Here are the last two Backgammon strategies to complete your game.

The Priming Game Plan

If the goal of the blocking plan is to slow down the opponent to shift his pieces, the Priming Game tactic is to completely block any activity of the opponent by constructing a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The opponent’s pieces will either get bumped, or end up in a bad position if he at all attempts to leave the wall. The ambush of the prime can be built anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your half of the board. After you’ve successfully assembled the prime to block the activity of the opponent, the competitor does not even get to roll the dice, that means you move your checkers and toss the dice yet again. You will be a winner for sure.

The Back Game Technique

The objectives of the Back Game plan and the Blocking Game plan are similar – to harm your competitor’s positions with hope to better your chances of succeeding, but the Back Game technique relies on alternate techniques to achieve that. The Back Game tactic is generally utilized when you’re far behind your competitor. To play Backgammon with this technique, you have to hold 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single checker) late in the game. This strategy is more difficult than others to use in Backgammon because it needs careful movement of your pieces and how the chips are moved is partly the result of the dice toss.
