As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of talent and good luck. The aim is to shift your checkers carefully around the game board to your inside board while at the same time your opponent moves their pieces toward their home board in the opposing direction. With competing player chips heading in opposite directions there is bound to be conflict and the need for specific strategies at particular times. Here are the last 2 Backgammon strategies to complete your game.
The Priming Game Plan
If the purpose of the blocking strategy is to hamper the opponents ability to shift her chips, the Priming Game strategy is to absolutely block any movement of the opponent by building a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s pieces will either get hit, or result a battered position if he/she at all attempts to leave the wall. The trap of the prime can be built anyplace between point 2 and point eleven in your half of the board. Once you have successfully constructed the prime to stop the movement of the opponent, your competitor does not even get to toss the dice, and you shift your pieces and roll the dice yet again. You will win the game for sure.
The Back Game Plan
The objectives of the Back Game plan and the Blocking Game plan are similar – to harm your competitor’s positions in hope to improve your odds of succeeding, but the Back Game technique relies on seperate techniques to achieve that. The Back Game technique is frequently employed when you are far behind your competitor. To participate in Backgammon with this plan, you need to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot late in the game. This technique is more complex than others to play in Backgammon seeing as it needs careful movement of your checkers and how the checkers are moved is partly the outcome of the dice roll.
