As we have dicussed in the previous article, Backgammon is a casino game of skill and good luck. The goal is to shift your pieces carefully around the board to your inner board while at the same time your opposing player shifts their pieces toward their inside board in the opposite direction. With competing player chips moving in opposing directions there is bound to be conflict and the requirement for specific techniques at specific instances. Here are the last two Backgammon plans to complete your game.

The Priming Game Tactic

If the purpose of the blocking strategy is to hamper the opponents ability to shift her chips, the Priming Game strategy is to completely stop any activity of the opposing player by assembling a prime – ideally 6 points in a row. The competitor’s chips will either get hit, or result a battered position if she at all tries to escape the wall. The ambush of the prime can be built anyplace between point two and point eleven in your game board. As soon as you have successfully assembled the prime to prevent the movement of the opponent, the competitor doesn’t even get to roll the dice, that means you shift your pieces and toss the dice yet again. You will be a winner for sure.

The Back Game Strategy

The objectives of the Back Game tactic and the Blocking Game tactic are very similar – to hinder your competitor’s positions hoping to better your chances of succeeding, but the Back Game strategy relies on different techniques to do that. The Back Game technique is generally employed when you are far behind your opponent. To play Backgammon with this tactic, you need to control 2 or more points in table, and to hit a blot (a single piece) late in the game. This strategy is more difficult than others to employ in Backgammon seeing as it requires careful movement of your checkers and how the chips are moved is partly the outcome of the dice toss.
